Things to do during your visit to Parklands Hotel & Country Club

There’s no doubt staying in a hotel offers a wide variety of perks and a visit to Parklands can be exactly the relaxation break you’ve been needing. Whether you want to chill out or are looking for stuff to do with the family, there are plenty of options within Parklands and the surrounding area.

SPA Facilities

We get it. You want to relax, forget about your work and leave your worries behind (at least for a day or two). Well Parklands is the perfect place to do just that because after 6pm our SPA facilities are open to adults only. Here you can enjoy our aroma steam room, Swedish sauna, hot stone beds, bio sauna, hydro pool and neck massagers in a quiet and childfree environment to really allow you to unwind.

Swimming Pool

Looking for something slightly more active? Brought the kids? Why not visit the pool? During the day we split the pool into 2 sections: one dedicated to lengths, the other dedicated to children and families. Every Saturday kids get priority of the pool from 5pm as we get out the big floats until 9pm. Definitely one way to keep them amused!

Gym

If you are a gym bunny and love to keep track even when away from home, we have a fully equipped gym open to all residents that allows you to train in accordance with your personal needs. So if you fancy that burger or beer in the bar then go for it. You can just work it off later!

Snooker Tables

Fan of snooker? At Parklands we have a snooker room equipped with 2 tables. It’s the perfect way to unwind or to meet up with friends while enjoying drinks from the bar.

 

As well as being situated only a twenty minute drive from Glasgow city centre, there is also lots to do in Newton Mearns and the surrounding area.

Pollock Country Park & The Burrell Collection

It’s the largest park in Glasgow and was been named Britain’s Best Park in 2006 and Best Park in Europe in 2008! A beautiful green space during all seasons, here you can find the famous art collection The Burrell Collection, a mountain bike circuit, a wildlife garden and some highland cattle all within this picturesque park. Definitely a place to visit if you like nature and walks in scenic places!

Whitecraigs Golf Club

Fan of golf? Located just a few minutes away from Parklands you’ll find the fantastic Whitecraigs Golf Club. Whitecraigs welcomes all level of golfers, can accommodate both small and large parties and is the perfect place to practise your swing.

Greenbank Gardens

Open every day from 10am till 4, if pretty scenery is your thing then this place is definitely worth a visit! Get inspired by new ideas and techniques that you can replicate in your own garden. You’ll also find beautiful ornaments, pools and fountains. And if you are into history, you can also visit Greenbank House. Here you can get a feel of how the 18th century tobacco lord and slave trader Robert Allason and his family lived during a time when Glasgow was the second city of the British Empire.
