It’s been an exciting few weeks for us here at Parklands as we enter the festive season, and our calendar is certainly full of fantastic events! So we couldn’t be more delighted to announce the arrival of such a fantastic addition to our talented team; Lindsay Bain has joined us as Events Manager.
Lindsay brings 8 years of hospitality experience with her, 6 of which have been in wedding planning and coordination. On top of this, she recently won Wedding Coordinator of the Year 2019 in Scotland at the VOWS Awards.
We caught up with Lindsay yesterday for a wee Q&A to learn more about this impressive operator:
How did you get into Events Planning?
I studied Business Studies at University, but wanted to take this knowledge of business and strategy into my passion – hospitality, where I have worked for 8 years. More recently I have focused on Events and Wedding Coordination, which very rewarding.
What is your greatest achievement?
As mentioned, I won Wedding Coordinator of the Year at the VOWs Awards this year. I have also won Wedding Coordinator of the Year with Wedding Dates in 2018.
What is your favourite thing about Parklands?
The staff, everyone is so passionate about Parklands, also going above and beyond for customers.
Also have to mention the AMAZING Honeymoon Suite – it is simply out this world, with an amazing Jacuzzi bath and walk in rain shower.
What’s your favourite Item on the menu at Michaels?
Parklands Balmoral Chicken and you can’t leave without having Sticky Toffee Pudding!
Any final words?
I am absolutely delighted to join the Management Team here at Parklands Hotel and Country Club as Wedding & Events Manager. I really think Parklands is the perfect venue for your Wedding Day, Celebration or Business meeting.
